عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَی عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا مَاتَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ وَمُرَّ بِجَنَازَتِهِ ذَهَبْتَ وَلَمْ تَلَبَّسْ مِنْهَا بِشَيْئٍ

ابو النصر نے کہا کہ فرمایا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جب گزرا ان پر جنازہ حضرت عثمان بن مظعون کا چلے گئے تم دنیا سے اور نہیں لیا اس میں سے کچھ ۔

Yahya related to me from Malik that Abu'n Nadr, the mawla of Umar ibn Ubaydullah, said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, when Uthman ibn Madhun's funeral procession passed by him, "You have gone and you were not involved in any of it."
