عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ لَا يَصُومُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَجْمَعَ الصِّيَامَ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِعَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَحَفْصَةَ زَوْجَيْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ

عبداللہ بن عمر نے کہا روزہ کسی شخص کا درست نہیں ہوتا جب تک کہ نیت نہ کرے قبل صبح صادق کے ۔ حضرت ام المومنین عائشہ اور ام المومنین حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بھی ایسا ہی فرمایا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Only some one who makes the intention to fast before dawn (actually) fasts." Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that A'isha and Hafsa, the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, also said that.
