و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَکَانَ أَهْلُ مَکَّةَ قَوْمَ حَسَدٍ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ يَحْسُدُونَهُ

محمد بن مثنی، یزید، حضرت جریری اس سند کے ساتھ مذکورہ حدیث کی طرح بیان کرتے ہیں سوائے اس کے کہ اس میں انہوں نے کہا کہ مکہ کی قوم کے لوگ حسد کرنے والے تھے۔

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Jurairi with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of words (and this is) that he (the narrator) did not say:"They felt jealous of him. but said: The people of Mecca, were jealous people."
