أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَامَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ قَبْلَ التَّسْلِيمِ

قتیبہ، لیث، یحیی بن سعید، عبدالرحمن بن ہرمز، عبداللہ ابن بحینة سے روایت ہے کہ رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز میں کھڑے ہو گئے اور ایک قعدہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے اور تھا (مطلب یہ ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے درمیان کا قعدہ نہیں فرمایا) تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے سجدہ فرمایا بیٹھے بیٹھے سلام کے پھیرنے سے قبل۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم finished praying two Rak’ahs, and Dhul-Yadain said to him: “Has the prayer been shortened or did you forget, Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم?” The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “Is Dhul-Yadain speaking the truth?” The people said: “Yes.” So the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم lL stood up and prayed two, then he said the Takbir and prostrated as usual or longer than that. Then he raised his head, then he prostrated as usual or longer than that, then he sat up.” (Sahih).
