عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حُذَافَةَ أَيَّامَ مِنًی يَطُوفُ يَقُولُ إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَيَّامُ أَکْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ وَذِکْرِ اللَّهِ

ابن شہاب سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عبداللہ بن حذافہ کو بھیجا منی کے دنوں میں کہ لوگوں میں پھر کر پکار دیں کہ یہ دن کھانے اور پینے اور خدا کی یاد کے ہیں ۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent Abdullah ibn Hudhayfa out on the days of Mina to circulate among the people to tell them those days were for eating and drinking and remembrance of Allah.
