Narrated by Jabir ibn Samurah

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَی بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ سِمَاکِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِالسَّمَائِ وَالطَّارِقِ وَالسَّمَائِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ وَنَحْوِهِمَا مِنْ السُّوَرِ

موسی بن اسماعیل، حماد، سماک بن حرب، حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ظہر اور عصر کی نماز میں سورت طارق اور سورت بروج اور اس جیسی دوسری سورتیں پڑھتے تھے

Narrated Jabir ibn Samurah: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) used to recite in the noon and afternoon prayer: "By the Heaven and the Morning Star" (Surah 86) and "By the Heaven , holding mansions of the stars" (Surah 85) and similar surahs of equal length.
