أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ مَالِکٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ کَعْبٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ کَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِکٍ کَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا نَسَمَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ طَائِرٌ فِي شَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّی يَبْعَثَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَی جَسَدِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

قتیبہ، مالک، ابن شہاب، عبدالرحمن بن کعب، کعب بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ مومن کی جان جنت کے درختوں پر پرواز کرتی رہے گی یہاں تک کہ خداوند قدوس اس کو قیامت کے دن اس کے جسم کی طرف بھیج دے گا۔

It was narrated that Anas said: “During the night, the Muslims heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم standing and calling out at the well of Badr: ‘Abu Jahl bin Hisham! Shaibah bin Rabi’ah! ‘Utbah bin Rabi’ah! Umayyah bin Khalaf! Have you found what your Lord promised to be true? For I have found what my Lord promised me to be true.’ They said: ‘Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, are you calling out to people who have turned into rotten corpses?’ He said: ‘You do not hear what I say any better than they do, but they cannot answer.” (Sahih)
