أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ کُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْخَاتَمِ فِي هَذِهِ وَهَذِهِ يَعْنِي السَّبَّابَةَ وَالْوُسْطَی وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ الْمُثَنَّی

ترجمہ سابق کے مطابق ہے۔

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم put on a ring of gold and put its stone toward his palm. Then the people started to wear rings of gold. Then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم threw away his ring and said: ‘I will never wear it again,’ and the People threw away their rings.”(Sahih).
